Puerto Jimenez Hotels
Hotel Cabinas Jimenez – Overlooking the pubic pier, you just can’t go wrong here. This is a small, unique hotel owned by a good friend that is walking distance to the pier. When the tide is in the gulf views are simply stunning from the majority of the rooms. Small dipping pool and a favorite place for expats and anglers alike. Key points include AC, TV/satellite, Safe, small refrigerators in most rooms. Five minute walk into downtown – bars and restaurants nearby. Highly recommend.

Las Islas Lodge – Built and operated by a local Puerto Jimenez Captain – these simple, rustic rooms are about 10 minutes out of town but are very nice with local hardwood design. Restaurant and bar attached with good meals. If you’re in Jimenez to fish hard and not spend lots of extra money on high end accommodations, this is a good option for you.

Hotel Cabinas Tropicales – Another neat little lodging option tucked away right next to the airstrip and minutes from the public pier. Cabinas Tropicale was built by a local expat and fishing captain out of Florida. He is one of the original Puerto Jimenez Expats and will take great care of you. The accommodations are clean and secure. Excellent value for those looking for basic accommodations

The Puerto Jimenez Beach House – A very cool, rustic, two story house overlooking the gulf only about a five minute drive from the public pier. Build by a couple out of Texas over 20 years ago, this is an ideal rental situation for groups of anglers. Large open air second story kitchen, wrap around balcony, private rooms as well as a large communal sleeping are with single beds make this an awesome location for a big fishing group of friends or family. Rates are very good for what you get. The host is always around and knows literally everything about this cool little town, she’ll take great care of you.

Resort – Agua Dulce Lodge – This is a very cool Puerto Jimenez hotel and full on beach resort about 20 minutes out of town. It overlooks one of the nicest beaches in the entire Southern region – Playa Preciosa . Highlights include nice second story restaurateur overlooking the gulf, nice pool with little bar, and three private beachfront bungalows…literally right on the beach with double rooms and a separate sitting area. The main resort has around 30 basic rooms. This is not a luxury resort, but it is very nice and in a beautiful area. TIP: If you don’t have a rental car you may feel a little secluded here. There is another really cool restaurant next door called Perla de Osa that has amazing food, with great outdoor ocean view seating.Other than that you will need to take taxis into town or make a deal for a week with a local driver. To us the views and beach make it well worth it.

Inn Jimenez
This is a cool little bed and breakfast style Inn right in the center of town. The owner did an amazing job creating a sprawling garden with towering tropical plants and a dipping pool with waterfall right on the grounds so you FEEL like you are in the jungle even though you are in the heart of Puerto Jimenez. Large fence and gate make this a safe, secure and three star option.
